Liebe Freunde, liebe LeserInnen,

ein paar letzte Rückblicke auf unsere Zeit im Land der Känguruhs, die wir einfach nicht für uns behalten können. Somit wurde Kerstins größter Aussie-Wunsch wahr.

 

Diese Vierbeiner haben ab jetzt einen Knopf im Ohr ;-)

just a few last reviews on our time in the land of kangaroos which we don't want to withhold. This is why Kerstin's biggest Aussie-dream came true.

What an experience full of hugs.

Erziehung. | Parenting.

If I had my child to raise all over again,

I'd build self esteem first, and the house later.

I'd fingerpaint more, and point the finger less.

 I would do less correcting and more connecting.

I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.

I would care to know less and know to care more.

I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.

I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.

I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.

I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often.

I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.

I'd model less about the love of power

and more about the power of love.

Wenn ich mein Kind nochmals aufzöge,
baute ich zuerst dessen Selbstbewusstsein und dann das Haus auf.
Ich malte mehr mit Fingergarben und zeigte weniger mit Fingern.
Ich korrigierte seltener und suchte öfters den Kontakt.
Ich schaute mit meinen Augen nicht auf die Zeit, sondern verbrächte Zeit mit meinen Augen.
Wissen kümmerte mich weniger - ich wüsste, mich mehr zu kümmern.
Ich lief mehr Wanderungen und flöge mit mehr Drachen.
Ich spielte nicht mehr vor, so ernst zu sein und spielte öfters.
Ich rannte durch mehr Felder und betrachtete öfters die Sterne. 
Ich umarmte öfters und jammerte weniger.
Ich sähe die Eiche öfters in der Eichel.
Ich wäre seltener unnachgiebig und bekräftigte öfters.
Ich erachtete seltener die Liebe zur Macht
und öfters die Macht der Liebe als Vorbild.

Mein großer Dank für diese großartigen drei Wochen gilt unseren Freunden Martin & Anke, Adam & Lindy mit allen vier Kindern, Aleks & Claudi mit beiden Kindern, unseren deutschen Pastoren Freimut & Joanna, unseren kanadischen Pastoren John & Helen, Jutta, unseren Autovermietern, dem Känguruh und Koala.

Danke für Eure Freundschaft, Großzügigkeit und Gemeinschaft!

100 Hole Golf-A-Thon.

Pastor John Burns is once again taking on the huge challenge of golfing 100 holes in one day at a golf course. With no cart, carrying his clubs himself,  he will run the hilly course over 5 times. That's literally a marathon distance and he'll stop to swing over 500 times! It's a ridiculous challenge that he is taking on to raise financial support and awareness a cause that's incredibly important. 

Mercy Ministries Canada will receive all pledges and donations given. Mercy Ministries is a short term residential care home in British Columbia, Canada, that exists to help young women who are seeking freedom from life-controlling issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, depression, eating disorders, unplanned pregnancy, physical and sexual abuse and self-harm.

Viele Menschen auf der ganzen Welt beteiligen sich bereits an dieser Aktion. Sei auch Du dabei und investiere diesen kleinen Betrag, um einen großen Unterschied zu machen und Menschen eine Stimme zu geben, die derzeit keine Stimme haben. Noch nicht.
